Staggars & Jags
Created by Sander Randall & Riley Cecil Taggart
It’s the Golden Age of Piracy, but when the scourge of prohibition comes to town, two jovial bartenders must sing their hearts out to save their bacon. Told over six 30 minute episodes featuring over 20 musical numbers. And that’s just season one.

Ye Olde History
I met Sander Randall at the Annoyance Theatre NY in 2016, and we bonded over a love of genre comedies, wild style characters, magical world-building. Staggars & Jags would become our third project together, inspired heavily by the spirit of a wonderfully simple video of Stan Rogers singing with his band in a Nova Scotia cabin. The first performance was at (the unfortunately now closed) South 4th Bar in the fall of 2017. That was a mostly improvised show with only 3 parody songs, performed for a handful of people. A year and two live shows later, we decided to make a radio version. The hastily written pilot, recorded in an afternoon at BRIC in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, was fun enough that we decided to take an honest crack at a season.
“The Big Drink was the place where you could surely belong. And they only had one rule: if you could sing, sing along.
Or just make a lot of noise!”
